Kentucky Horse Park Projects
By Lisa Munniksma
During the USDF National Education Center ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 21, 2006 , Kentucky Commerce Cabinet secretary George Ward announced the new state budget was passed, including funding for a 6,000-seat indoor arena and roadway restoration at the Kentucky Horse Park . The horse park is also working with a private developer to build a 250-room hotel, conference center, and spa. These projects are largely in preparation for the Kentucky Horse Park's welcoming of the 2010 FEI World Games (formerly the World Equestrian Games), which will be held outside of Europe and in one venue for the first time.
